etix is a piece of shit company that jacks up prices then bombards you with ads. how I just paid over $7 for "convince fees" on two tickets that add up to a face value of $26 is ludicrous. I still have to print the tickets myself, and pay an additional $3 to the venue at the door because andrea is 21-. ohh well, tickets to btbam secured regardless.

still fighting the server, this ringing noise has my head hurting. atleast i have headphones and a hand full of new albums I downloaded last week.
this album is amazing, I really like the album art and the music on top of that.
Hey the beeping stopped finally, but now just to tell me we have a degraded raid array, looks like i'll be ordering a new drive to rebuild the array.
back to work.

brad and ann's wedding was fun. now it's saint patty's day. looking forward to drinking this evening, i went to classes Monday hungover, why not do it again tomorrow? No Irish or green beer for me though, because I don't think I can make Newcastle green.

i always think of all these things to write about when i'm not infront of my computer, then when i get here i can't remember them. so i'll just write about 2 things.
1. I got accepted into portfolio review so I can go ahead and graduate this summer.
the excessive 20 pieces i had to print and mount to get into the class.
2. Cheetos bacon cheddar crackers are the shit.

my knee pops every time i straighten my right leg. and it has for the last year or so. it's also been hurting this week and today in particular more than normal. webmd just scares me into thinking its my acl or pcl. i'm just waiting for it to heal itself.
I need to stop reading the news, or move to my own country in the atlantic.

been staying at my parents house these last few nights while they are skiing. School has been really busy. Ended up putting about 12 hours into the Trident Time's paper layout, but atleast it's close to done. Will be home either tomorrow night or the next.

- first week of classes ends tonight sometime around 8:30.
- Classes seem to be pretty straight forward, I shouldnt have too much trouble in any of the classes
- the hardest part is going to be going to school 6pm to 8:30 four nights a week
- I'll settle for going 3 nights a week
- Work is boring, i've fixed anything and everything that needed it, I haven't done anything this week.
- I'm thinking about an escape
- Who knows where, but I have a couple hundred dollars in the bank that would best be spent on a vacation
- No work or classes tomorrow + mlk jr day = four day weekend
- I should just go somewhere tomorrow night and return sometime
- Off to go price that out

All is really well. I enjoy my day to day life quite abit right now.
I'm killing off one color press, it was fun, but I don't print any more, the setup I have for exposing and reclaiming screens isn't practical. Plus I'll never break even on money invested vs money made.
Speaking of money, happy new year, i'm fucking broke.
Andrea gets her wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning.
My blackberry is now officially dead, went to borrow one of the old alltel phones from work and ended up with this crappy kyocera, but at least it has it's own number, so I can deactivate mine for now, or at least cut the plan down to like 12 minutes or something so I can keep voicemail on my normal number til April 1st when I'm available for upgrade again... On the bright side, I don't have to pay a dime to use this phone and since it's on a shared plan with 45+ other phones minutes mean nothing. It will be nice to save $50 a month not having to pay to keep the blackberry internet on.
After this semester I will be 2 classes (public speaking and exit portfolio) away from my associates in commercial graphics. So at the end of the summer I will be a "college" grad. Will have taken 2 years and 2 months, but I've managed to fit 7 semesters into that short time frame (this being semester 6).
School doesn't start back til next Tuesday, I can wait!

but I did quit smoking cigarettes, I foresee some cheating here and there but for the most part this is the most committed I've felt towards it since I picked up the nasty habit in 2004.

I've got everything I need to pull new prints except motivation, want to clean all my screens tomorrow so I can have a half dozen blank screens or so to use these last 2 weeks of break.
I need some sort of idea as well. I have a few, but nothing worthy of printing.

First off, Happy Birthday Andrea! We're gonna go to the crab shack tonight which should be good.
Secondly although not the Rebel XSi I was looking for on my previous christmas wishlist post, I've settled on the Canon EOS Rebel XS which I just ordered today, and should be in tomorrow with free overnight shipping, just in time for Christmas :)
It's not the most powerful camera out there, but as far as entry level DSLR's go it's not a bad camera at all. Excited to get it, been looking at the various different Rebel models for at least a year now, I'm sure I'll be happy with this one.

First a request, to all my fellow geeks. I was in the student lounge at school and a table of geeks talking about a movie - probably lord of the rings or spiderman - was giving off such a collective stench I couldn't help but notice. I'm not saying I shower everyday, but come on, smelly geeks make the rest of us have to work harder.
School is done for the semester.

Other stuff:
We leave our wireless network unsecured because we always have people coming over with laptops and wifi enabled devices and I was tired of putting in the wep encryption key for everyone. However I do believe my neighbors should get their own internet. Thus why I had to mac address ban "laptop-4-JESUS" and "redneckwoman" from my wireless network. If they didn't name their laptops such stupid names they could have stayed, they can't hurt my bandwidth anymore then we do.
